ACAPULCO, Mexico ? Mexican authorities say a 30-year-old woman killed her 11-year-old daughter and herself with insecticide poisoning. The woman's 6-year-old son was poisoned but survived.
Guerrero state authorities identified the mother as Leticia Chete Aguero and her daughter as Leslie Abigail Solis Chete. Six-year-old Cristian de Jesus Solis Chete survived after Red Cross paramedics rushed the boy to a public hospital in the port city of Acapulco.
Authorities say the mother poisoned herself and children early Saturday with a powder form of the agricultural insecticide known as Lannate.
The mother left a suicide note but authorities did not reveal what it said.
