An accident occurred Sunday night at about 9:40 p.m. on Interstate 15 north near Jean, Nevada. The accident occurred between a Jeep vehicle and a Ford Taurus. Nine people were sent to University Medical Center as a result. Eight of the nine injured people were transported to the hospital via ambulance and one was flown via helicopter. The magnitude of the injuries are unknown at this time. The Nevada Highway Patrol could not provide any more details but an investigation continues.
