The Stream Team took a small break for All-Star week, but we?re refreshed and ready for the stretch run, starting with Monday MVP action at FanDuel. Even with the change in FanDuel scoring, I think you may be best going with our Ace picks each day ? it?s become very hard to find great, cheap options each day. That doesn?t mean you have to break the bank for an ace, though; aside from Doc on Monday, our Ace picks should save you upwards of $1,000 in cap room from the elite rank of starters while not sacrificing much, if any, production.

Monday

Ace: Roy Halladay, PHI at CHC ($9,100). I guess we could pimp our boy Ryan Vogelsong again, though he?s had control problems over his last two starts (and he has a tough matchup against Chad Billingsley). Halladay seems a near-lock for the five-point win.

*Middle Man: Chris Capuano, NYM vs. FLA ($5,100). Capuano has had a really nice run since June 1, bring his ERA down over a full point by posting quality starts in six of his last seven games. He struck out 38 batters while only walking 13 guys in that seven game stretch, and allowed no home runs in five of those games. That stinginess with regards to the long ball is normal for Capuano at home, which is where he plays the Marlins on Monday.

Wild Card: Dontrelle Willis, CIN at PIT ($4,700). I highly suggest taking one of the two gentlemen above, but if you feel you have to get under $5,000 with your pitching selection, Willis is the best of a bad bunch.

Roto Stream Team: 1. Chris Capuano (vs. FLA), 2. Mark Buehrle (at KC), 3. Jason Marquis (at HOU), 4. James McDonald (vs. CIN), 5. Randy Wolf (at ARI).

Tuesday

*Ace: Tim Stauffer, SD at FLA ($6,900). I bought heavily on this guy in the pre-season, and he?s cruised along to seven straight starts with two earned runs or less on the scoreboard in each. His normally excellent control left him in his last start, so I?ll be watching this one closely to see if that was an aberration or a sign of deterioration.

Middle Man: Rubby de la Rosa, LAD at SF ($5,500). It may be tough expecting a win here, as the Dodgers are as bad on the road as the Giants are good at home. De la Rosa himself hasn?t earned a win in his last five starts. However, he has pitched solidly over his last three, including a six-inning one-hitter that included eight Ks in his last start before the break.

Wild Card: Danny Duffy, KC vs. CWS ($3,900). Duff-man will be back with the Royals for a Tuesday start, and he had been on a nice little run before the break, posting only one walk in four consecutive outings. That run included a weird start in which he lasted only 3.2 innings but struck out nine while walking one. If he keeps the ball in the park here, he should have a nice line.

Roto Stream Team: 1. Rubby de la Rosa (at SF), 2. Danny Duffy (vs. CWS), 3. Mike Leake (at PIT), 4. Tyler Chatwood (vs. TEX), 5. Brett Cecil (vs. SEA).

Wednesday

*Ace: Aaron Harang, SD at FLA ($7,200). That is not a typo. Harang has been stellar over his last seven starts, allowing a total of seven earned runs and bringing his ERA to 3.19 through 93 innings. Tack on a 7-2 record and you may start to mistake Harang for a fantasy ace. He has a lot of success in Petco but is still worthwhile on the road, where he has a 3.81 ERA and 1.31 WHIP. In his last road start, he no-hit the Dodgers for six innings in a no decision.

Middle Man: R.A. Dickey, NYM vs. STL ($5,700). Dickey usually pitches well enough to give his teams (both real and fantasy) the opportunity to get a win. He hasn?t been lit up for more than four runs since May 14, and even those four-run affairs have been limited to two. The owner of a much better WHIP at home, Dickey should have another solid start against the Cardinals.

Wild Card: Juan Nicasio, COL vs. ATL ($4,000). I?m a firm believer in this youngster and his nearly 3.0 K:BB ratio. He?s coming off a seven-inning shutout of the Brewers at home which included just four hits and no walks. The Braves got to him in Atlanta in the start prior to that, and he?ll be looking for revenge at home. Before that Atlanta start? Another shutout, eight innings against the Royals. I guess the altitude doesn?t bother him.

Roto Stream Team: 1. Aaron Harang (at FLA), 2. Vance Worley (at CHC), 3. Juan Nicasio (vs. ATL), 4. Jason Vargas (at TOR), 5. R.A. Dickey (vs. STL).

Thursday

*Ace: Ian Kennedy, ARI vs. MIL ($7,500). Several aces should be on the mound Thursday, but Kennedy seems like the most cost-effective of the group. He?ll face a Brewers team that?s pretty bad on the road, and Kennedy?s K:BB ratio (over 3.0) should lead to another great start for him here. At 10-3 this year and with a 1.05 WHIP at home, Kennedy?s got my pick.

Middle Man: Jon Niese, NYM vs. STL ($6,600). I would recommend one of the aces starting, but if you feel you have to save a little money with your hurler, you could opt for Niese. He bounced back strong from an early exit on July 10, limiting the Phillies to one run through seven innings in a win. At 9-7 with a 3.73 ERA, Niese can be plenty helpful in regular fantasy leagues as well.

Wild Card: Dustin Moseley, SD at FLA ($6,100). If you have to squeeze even more value out of your starter, you may want to take Moseley, even on the road. If it was me, I?d just go with an ace and be done with it. The top scorers on Thursday will likely be using one of them, so I?d try my best to pick the right one and avoid the bargain pitchers today.
